IWPG Global Division 2 Successfully Holds 3rd Orientation for Women’s Peace Education in Middle Eastern Countries

 


A Promise for Change: “A Beautiful Beginning”



The International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) Global Division 2 (Director Seoyeon Lee) announced that it successfully held the 3rd orientation session for the Women’s Peace Education program targeting Middle Eastern countries on the 12th.


The orientation was attended by over 70 participants, including IWPG members and women leaders from Middle Eastern countries, such as instructor Naglaa Saad and Dr. Ikram Saad Al-Akouri, founder of the Women Journalist for Peace Network . The event emphasized the importance of peace and the role of women in achieving it.


During the feedback session following the training, participants shared heartfelt reflections and expressed high expectations for the upcoming Women’s Peace Education sessions.


Samia Jaber, an English teacher from Al Mukalla, Hadhramaut, Yemen, said, “Today’s peace education marked a beautiful new beginning. I’m very happy to be part of this and am looking forward to the future sessions.”


Ramees Al-Asbahi, social reformer of Al Mahrah Governorate and editor-in-chief of “Jehaina Yemen News,” remarked, “I was touched by everyone’s passion from the very first day. The Women’s Peace Education is a sincere and blessed step toward peace in Yemen, and together we can bring about real change.”


Manar Mohammed (Yemen) said, “It was a wonderful peace education program—enjoyable and deeply moving. The lectures by Anna, Naglaa, and Dr. Ikram were especially impressive, and all the participants were truly outstanding.”

Attorney and human rights activist Attar Shamsheer added, “I express my sincere respect and gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the Women’s Peace Education program.”


The 3rd batch of IWPG’s Women’s Peace Education focuses on providing practical education and strengthening networking solidarity, enabling women in the Middle East to grow as key agents of peace. IWPG plans to continue its efforts with women from around the world to realize lasting peace.
