About 60 applicants participated in the orientation, where they were introduced to the purpose of the Women’s Peace Education and its 10-lesson curriculum. The participants expressed strong resonance with the program’s focus on the role of women.
Participant Idalba shared, “It is moving to see that women are recognized as special beings through this Women’s Peace Education, and I look forward to the upcoming sessions even more.” Another participant, Elias, remarked, “The curriculum was very practical and accurate, and the seeds of peace have been planted in our hearts and will surely bear fruit. I hope these seeds will also spread throughout our communities and nations.”
IWPG stated that with the launch of the 4th course in Colombia, it plans to further strengthen the cultivation of women peace leaders in South America. In particular, the Women’s Peace Education, which emphasizes the role of women, is expected to contribute to addressing community issues and fostering a culture of peace.
